INTRO

ICEFLAME developed the ThermoFlex Modular Sleeping System for hikers, mountaineers and campers who want one adaptable setup for changing conditions.

Depending on the configuration, the system carries up to 1,000 g of down while keeping the complete setup under 1,500 g. Its two-part design pairs an insulated upper module with a multipurpose lower module, allowing the system to be adjusted for cold or mild trips.

ThermoFlex packs to approximately 10 L and uses breathable, lightweight tear-resistant fabric with RDS-certified down. The modular format is intended for trekking, mountaineering, camping and vehicle-based trips where adaptable insulation is more useful than a fixed-format sleeping bag.

Soft, Duvet-Like Feel: High-loft 95% Muscovy duck down is enclosed by a grey 10D nylon shell and a yellow 10D nylon lining, producing a soft feel with close, even coverage.

Modular Flexibility: The lower module includes an adjustable hood, while the upper module unfolds into a quilt. Use them separately for flexibility or connect both sections for more insulation and coverage.

Temperature Control Across Configurations: The quilt can be used on its own, or both modules can be joined when colder conditions require additional coverage. ICEFLAME field guidance spans approximately -20°C to above +20°C across the available configurations.

Packable for a Full Modular System: The complete system weighs under 1,500 g and compresses to approximately 28 x 25 cm, depending on how the modules are packed.

Water-Repellent, Breathable 10D Nylon: The breathable, water-repellent 10D fabric helps move moisture vapour away from the sleeper. Mature down retains its natural oils, while the fabric package is designed to reduce moisture build-up inside the system.

Down Without Fluorinated Treatment: The down is specified without fluorinated water-repellent coatings or PFAS treatment.

The lower end of the field-use guidance is more appropriate for warm sleepers. Cold sleepers and users with lower body fat should add approximately 5°C for comfort. Pad insulation, clothing, shelter and weather also affect warmth.
